July 4th Festivities

This is the July 4thish fruit pizza that I made for our family get together. I tried to make the red and white stripes, but I also wanted it to have other kinds of fruit so it has multicolored stripes, but that's why it's "July 4thish."

Aunt Trinity planned a water party for the kids for July 4th and did they have a blast. This is cousin Zak spraying Joshua and Jakob on the tramp.

Caleb tried to slide down the slip and slide, but he only made it where he is in the pic. Oh, well, he still loved it!

Jakob, with a perfect slide down the slip and slide. I went down the slip and slide, but ended up smashing my "nurses" as Caleb calls them. Despite the pain, it was still fun! Wished it was a longer slide. Definitely made for little kids.

The kids had a little bit of a water balloon fight as well. Caleb is taking aim and about to make a shot at someone.

Elena and cousin Jayden were both playing with the fridge phonics. Jayden is 10 months younger than Elena and she usually thinks that he is such a cute baby that is her same size. She usually loves to give him hugs and kisses. Well, Jayden figured out that if he gave hugs and kisses back to Elena that he got lots of attention from it. So he kept giving her hugs and kisses. At first she was fine with it and she hugged him back, but after awhile she just started putting up with it. He would give her hugs and then give everyone a big cheesy grin. He started pulling her towards him and making her give him hugs and kisses. It was pretty funny!

After the water party our family went with Aunt Elishia's family over to the firestation in Apple Valley (where Grandma and Grandpa Ruesch live). They had some refreshments and gave all the kids Junior Fire Ranger hats. This is Elena on Aunt Elishia's lap chomping on a cookie.
