Yep, that's right! At 21 months, Eli lost one of his front teeth. And how in the world did he lose his tooth at such a young age. This is a question we ask ourselves quite frequently, because he is constantly getting himself hurt. This is not because he's clumsy, but because he is so busy climbing, jumping, and finding his way into things and places that he's too little to be doing, always in a hurry to grow up and be like his older siblings. So about a month ago he jumped off the couch and banged up his lip and front tooth which loosened it considerably. We tried to keep it in his mouth in hopes that it would tighten up again and it had started to do so, but this week, he ran into the wall and knocked it lose again. This time it was dangling so loosely that Ronny reached in and just took it out of his mouth. This is his whole tooth, root and all.
I'm grateful that we haven't had to go get stitches yet and no broken bones. I'm not sure how well, I would be able to deal with that. I've never had a broken bone and neither has Ronny, so that would be a new experience for us.
Just a side note about this little mister and his little "crazy" personality: Last night, we were watching Despicable Me and any time the background music came on, he couldn't help but dance. He has also been known to do this in his sleep. He hears a lawn mower, he has to dance. He hears music and rhythm when no one else notices. He is always on the move. He has also just recently become attached to blankets and soft snuggly things like his really warm soft sweater coat, which he will snuggle up in and go to sleep. I know this is not unusual for most kids, but it is something new for him.
