This was Joshua and Jakob's present to their sister. She got a shoulder and foot massage. What nice brothers!
This is Elena's Tinkerbell coloring book that we got her for her birthday. She gets to color in it only on Sundays. She also got a doctor kit, which the boys thought was for them.(okay problem with video upload, guess it will come later)
This is Elena's birthday song. She got to pick out her cake. Don't know if you can see it very well. She wanted a little lemon cake. I was surprised that she didn't pick out a pink one.
* * *Here are some things about Elena at age 3:
Everything is her "sizes." Like the little toilet in the family bathroom at Wal-mart is her "sizes." Anything that is little and just her size she says, "Mommy, it's my sizes!" with a very excited grin on her face.
She is still such a good little singer. She loves to sing songs she learns in nursery at church such as "Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree", " The Wheels on the Bus", "Fifty-Nifty United States" (the boys learned that one this year in school, so she learned it too.) The other day we were in the locker room of the Washington Rec. Center and we were getting ready to leave. There was only us and one other lady in the locker room and Elena was just singing and singing. I didn't even realize how much she was singing, but the lady asked me if she always sang like that and yes, it's true, she does love to sing. A girl after my own heart.
She has been and still is a very independent little girl. Dressing herself, getting herself water, now if we could just get her completely potty trained. She's working on it. She's really been pretty good.
She loves her brothers and loves to play with them despite the fact that she gets hurt about once a day.
She also likes to get into mommy's makeup, nail polish, chapstick, and gum.
She loves new clothes and shoes in general and she loves to wear princess dresses. These may be pretty church dresses or dress ups. Her favorite princess is Tiana from "The Princess and the Frog." Anytime she sees her, she always exclaims, "That's my princess!" And because of that movie she is obsessed with stars at night.
One other thing that she says quite frequently is, "I'm not a baby, I'm a girl!" This is usually when I say something like, "Come hear baby girl." Sometimes she will say, "I'm not Elena, I'm a girl!" Haven't figured out why she says that one.
Overall she is a happy little girl and a joy to our family!
