Ruesch Rhythm Released: One Final Visit with Cousins Before Korea

Last week we went up to visit with my sister and her family one last time before we left for Korea. It was great as usual. We also went to visit the capital and showed the kids around.

This was on the steps just below where the State House of Representatives meets. We got to talk to one of the representatives and they were getting ready to go into a session in a couple of hours. The kids kind of got a mini history lesson. Great field trip for anyone who lives or visits Salt Lake City.

We also got to go pick some yummy cherries at Eric's parents house. It reminded me of the cherry tree we had in front of the house that I lived in most of my childhood. We got to pick fresh cherries every year. It was awesome! The cherries were so sweet!

These three were the most excited about helping with the picking. Had to have them pause for a minute for a picture.

Eric climbed a very tall and kind of scary, shaky ladder to get to the "goods" closer to the top of the tree.

Look closely and you can see the remains of cherry juice all over his face. The kids loved the cherries so much that they had to snack on them as we picked them.

Julia and silly Joshua shared a ladder and bucket for picking. See that monkey in the background? That's Jakob who has become quite a good tree climber by practicing on the tree in our front yard.

The little cherry stealer, Eli. Every time we turned around, he was snatching another cherry.

We also played at the creek close to Stephanie's house. We were trying to keep this little stinker from going into the water by himself. He thought it was funny to run away from Daddy. This is pretty normal for him.
