This was 8 days of fun! We did miss the kids for the first 3 or 4 days, and really even wished we could go home, but then we chilled out and really had a nice relaxing week. Not that we didn't have fun the first part of our trip. We just weren't used to being away from the kids for that long. Thanks to my wonderful dad and brother and mother, we were able to help Ronny keep his promise that he made to my dad when he asked if it was okay to marry me. My dad made Ronny promise that he would take me to Hawaii one day. Well, promise fulfilled. =)
Yes, we look like the biggest nerds on the planet, but this was our first day of fun. We went snorkeling at Hanauma Bay. The fish were really cool and it was fun to feel like you were just floating on top of the water. This was probably one of Ronny's favorite places.

Bishop Museum had some awesome Hawaiian artifacts and was also very informative. We took lots of pics there, but too many pictures to put on this post.
One huge leaf, I thought could have been used for an umbrella. This plant was at the Bishop Museum.

Next day, we went hiking at Diamond Head. Very cool! This was the stairway close to the end of the trail. Super steep!

Got to see Pearl Harbor on the 2nd day. It was a day of remembering and sadness. It was really kind of sad to hear about the destruction that took place there and those who sacrificed their lives to save others. 
This was the 2nd day too. We went to Iolani Palace. The palace of several of the monarchs of Hawaii. Beautiful inside, but we weren't allowed to take pictures. Kind of sad to learn about Queen Liliokalani and her entrapment there. Our third day was definitely a day of retrospect. 
The 3rd day we went to the Dole Plantation with my Uncle and Auntie. They were so nice to come with us and let us stay at their house. We had such a nice time getting to know them better. 
Auntie Ilene made some "ono" spam musabi for lunch at the beach. It was soo good! She had also given us some amazing malasadas from Leonard's Bakery. That's where she works. Man, there's so much good food in Hawaii!

On Saturday, we went to Aloha swap meet in the morning and loaded up with all kinds of goodies to take home for souvenirs and gifts. Then we went to the temple in the afternoon. Poor Ronny was super sunburned from Waimea and was in a lot of pain that day. But he still managed to put on a smile. 
Sunday, we went to church in Ewa Beach and had some wonderful meetings and then afternoon, we went to Nimitz Beach for a family get together. How I love the ocean and the beach! So amazingly beautiful!
