Eli Turns One

March 26, 2010~ My baby turned one year old today. It's a happy and a sad day! I very sad that my baby is growing up sooo fast! Happy that he made it to his first birthday and it's a big stepping stone in his little life. It's been an adventurous year, with lots of ups and downs. He knows how to say some words such as Mommy, Daddy, and I think he's said several other words a few times like "I want it" and "mine." I believe that he's even said some of his siblings names every once in awhile. Walking at 10 months, nothing is impossible to accomplish in this kid's mind. He wants to do everything that his older siblings can do. He climbs on anything and everything. Yesterday, he climbed up onto one of our recliners, stood up, and starting rocking it while he was still standing up in it. Ronny thought maybe he was practicing to be a surfer. Sometimes he has amazing balance and other times not so much. This is evident by the many bruises all over his forehead and cheeks. Although, he is a busy little boy, he can surely make your day with his big smile and his sweet little hugs.

Great Grandma Whittenburg always gives her grandkids 5$ for their birthdays and a birthday card. She never misses a birthday! Eli was so excited about his money and his card. Thank you Grandma Whittenburg!
