For Family Home Evening this week we went to the Jubilee of Trees at the Dixie Center. We got there late, because Ronny has class late on Mondays, so we had to rush through, but we still had fun and it was a fun way to get into the Christmas spirit. There were some beautiful Christmas trees that I took pictures of. The kids got to check out the emergency hospital helicopter, which was cool! It's much smaller than we expected. We also got to see some fun gingerbread houses that were for sale. I only had time to take pictures of the best ones. They were really expensive to buy, but whoever made them was very talented and creative!
This tree won the Mayor's Wife Choice Award. It was fancy-shmansy with a feather boa and beads and high heels. It was fun!
Love this one because it was so unique. It was a Christmas turned upside down and made to look like a chimney with Santa's legs sticking out of the top. So creative!
This was Joshua's favorite. It's a cactus Christmas tree. Suppose it's fitting, since we live in the desert.
Loved this one because it's a Hawaiian themed Christmas tree. Didn't have time to take a really great picture of this one, but it has shells for the bulbs and a flower lei for the garland, aloha print fans and other flowers stuck within the branches in place of bows. Surrounding the bottom of the tree was a little beach scene. Love to see the creations of others. It gives me some great ideas and inspiration for projects that I might like to do someday.

This gingerbread house was the most expensive and very intricately made with a front and back door, upstairs, windows, Christmas trees made out of frosting or something like that, shutters, and outlined stone siding. Pretty amazing talent with food! 
This one had a neat front yard and fence. This will hopefully give us some ideas for our gingerbread houses.
